Okay, here's my rant and rave:
What I can't understand, are people who are cruel to other people, just because they are different, or just..to be cruel. For example, last week, for Dance, we got some homework; do a collage about yourself. My thoughts on this were: 'Screw it. I'm gonna do what I like, not what other people like.' So, I get to class, and hand it in. Later, we get them back, and I put mine on the floor, to see it while I try to work on my solo dance. After a while, a big Samoan girl comes up to me, and picks up my collage. I gently take it out of her hand and put it on the floor so I can continue to look at it. On said collage, there is a picture of the band 'Cradle of Filth' She decides she doesn't like them, so she puts her foot on it, and declares something like, "These guys are freaks" or something to that effect. I'm very polite, and ask her not to do it again. Instantly, she takes offence! I mean, how can you take offence from something politely said? Anyways, it ends up her giving me a heap of you-know-what, both that day and yesterday. Thankfully, she wasn't in class today.
So, I pose this question to you; (I have a flair for the overly dramatic if you hadn't guessed)
Why do people persist in thinking that because they are a different race, or are bigger than someone, they can bully other people? I just don't get it!!

That is an interesting question. I have been lucky do avoid most things like that, prefering to remain below the rader.
Although I think maybe it all has to do with our basic animal instincts. In the animal kingdom generally only the largest and strongest animals survive. In order to assert their dominence they usually pick on smaller and thus what they consider weaker animals. Being humans we like to pretend we have more morals then that, so rather then physically fight with someone, we use more passive but no less effective methods, like picking on them because they are differant or they don't like that is considered to be mainstream.
Just my thoughts, can't wait to see what others have to say.

^I can agree with you, thats an interesting theory! My theory is that the people that are bullying mostly is jealous about something. people that are different often is the victim, maybee becaus they are original and everyone else just folows the flow. But I can agree that people try to show that they are "the strongest" by puching evveryone els down. But considder, isn't the people doesn't bully the strong once...? They know that they doesnt have to proof themselves all the time. I hope that you all can understand my slabby english

I was always irritated by racecard playing morons. These guys would always play this loud music right above my older sister's dorm one year ALL NIGHT and Sarah would ask the politely not to do it, and they'd actually accuse her of telling them not to play music just because they were black. WTF, mate. They would even come down and try to intimidate her. And the RA's never did anything because they were buttheads. God I hate those kinds of people. I told my firends Keisha about it (she just so happens to be black) and she agrees with me, as does her group of guy friends. Just rediculous, isn't it?

Oh yeah. And now it's gone on to caucasions thinking they're better than everyone else. Thankfully the last person that messed with me got what they deserved. (If Ms Russell has got around to it that is.)
