I found this really cool pattern for av and sig background. Doesn't really have a big effect on anything bigger but still cool. I will go by this av I made you can change what you want. 1.) Open new document 100x100 2.) Change background to #000000 black and forground to #84458b purple. 3.) Filter>Render>Clouds. 4.) Filter>Sketch>Halftone Pattern Choose Water Paper and than click ok. There is your background. To have some of it overlap onto your image than you can duplicate the layer by dragging it to the new layer icon at the bottom of the layer palatte screen. Than erase some of the layer with some overlapping bits on the picture. I also added little dots to my image. I used 1px and 2px soft brushes. The cross is a brush I found. I can't remember where I found it. There that's it.
