When I was born, in what is now New York, my parents were happy. After 4 boys, I was their little girl, and I brought about the completion of our family. My father believed in having smart women in his family, so I was educated by some of the best scholars of our time from the age of five. I had a good childhood, full of friends and laughter. My father would rarely let me out of the 'castle' we lived in, for fear of street children, pickpockets and other 'lower forms of intelligence', as he loved to call them.
When I was twenty, I accompanied my eldest brother Stephen to a tavern. My first real 'night on the town'. We were attending a celebration for my brother David, who had just been accepted into the royal guard. It was this fateful night, I met the person who would change my life forever. His name was Kraven, and he was charming. I believed him a gentleman. Dashing, and debonair. My papa had drilled into me from a very young age that I was to be a respectable girl, and I was. I sat at a table alone all night drinking nothing but water, while the rabble and riff-raff around me got drunk. When I started to feel dizzy and Kraven helped me up to the castle, and then to my room, I was too ill to even think that my 'knight in shining armour' had drugged me. Nothing occured to me until he lowered his lips to my neck, and theen, all I could hear was my Mama and Papa lecturing me.
I woke up some hours later at sunrise. I felt a hand on the small or my back. I stood, and realized that I was only in my underdress. I looked to my left, and saw the blood on the sheets, and that I wasn't alone. I swallowed down bile, and went to the curtains. I started to pull one back with my left hand. As soon as the sun hit my skin, I felt a burning. I screamed, and mylled my hand into my chest, cradling it and sliding to the floor. He awoke and came to my side. I was crying, and he put a hand over my mouth. I noticed her was no longer wearing his shirt.
"Shhh. You don't want your father to hear do you?" I shook my head fearfully, afraid of what Papa would do to me. It was too much, so I lowered my head and sobbed quietly.
After three months we left New York and traveled to Budapest, where we joined up with Viktors coven. We became Death Dealers, and we became 'companions.' That was what Kraven liked to call it. He wasn't faithful to me, no matter how hard I tried, but we had a special bond. The bond of a Vampyre to her sire. But after Kraven 'killed' Lucian, everything changed. Our bond slowly frayed, and he became soft and irritable. Then, Selene came and he not only wasn't faithful, he wasn't there. I can't say I wasn't jealous when Kravens attention was diverted, but I can't say some part of me wasn't glad either. I slowly faded out of the picture, and out of Ordoghaz. I would leave the mansion more and more often, until I would be gone for a week at a time without anyone noticing. Or so I thought. After I had been gone for two weeks straight, I came back, and his little blonde spy was waiting for me.
"Kraven wants to see you." She smirked. "He wants to know where you've been." She came down three steps. "Where have you been? Conspiring with the Lycans? Or consorting with those lesser Vampires you like so much." She arched an eyebrow, pursing her lips. I walked toward her, then grabbed her wrist and bent it back. Her eyes widened, and I bent down and hissed into her ear. "If you ever, ever say that about me or my friends again, I'll-"
"You will do nothing." Kraven stood at the top of the stairs. I made a noise at the servant girl, and she scurried away.
"Where have you been?" He demanded, as we reached his office.
"Oh, I'm touched you care." I said, sarcasm dripping from my voice. Then, he snapped, literally. He reached across his desk, and backhanded me, splitting my lip. I jumped up angrily, and threw him to the ground on his ass.
"If you EVER touch me again, I will rip your head off. You understand?" A drop of my blood fell onto his cheek, as I stood over him. "Do you understand?" He nodded, almost smiling. I gave him a filthy look and released him, stalking out of his office.
"I wish I had a chance to do that." Selene was leaning on one of the couches that peppered the hallways. I smiled, and wiped blood from my lip. "Tell the others I'm leaving please?" I asked her. She nodded, so I turned and left. The last threads of my bond with Kraven broke.
I ended up with a friend of mine, an uncovened Vampyre, Dayton. After a few years, running a safehouse, for Vampyre children, that had been abandoned, or turned far too young, we became lovers and confidants. Better yet, we loved each other.
Then, all hell broke loose, and I returned with Dayton to a place I had sworn to never return. And there we stayed. To fight with our friends. To die with them.
